Several people keep having 'hiccups' where the scenery reloads and the flight analysis and map screen is broken, with a > in the flight path. In such cases, can the broken flight analysis be used as proof that the flight was completed?
The Duenna seems to solve this problem, but not every one will use it. In some cases, the broken flight analysis can be avoided by not changing any sim parameters while flying (i.e., fuel, sim rate, time, flight plan, etc.), but it still appears that some people are having this problem.
What we need is a clarification of the rules. Will the spirit of the race prevail and if a pilot claims that the leg was done legally will this prevail? Or is cold hard proof required? I would hope that the spirit of the race would be OK and that a man's word is worth something here. If everyone flies online, then there will be additional witnesses as to the validity of the hop.
Can any of the race officiators clarify this?
