The Alaska Bush Race was completed on September 12. It was a fairly simple event using some fine add-on Alaska scenery by Ed Cox. It was a lot of fun for all who attended.

We started at Geneer AKR Station D and flew to Stations B, C, and A, a total of 194 nm. From the start, Dave and Salt_Air (Austin) were out in front, and they proved on each successive leg that their amphibians were tuned up just a bit better than the rest of ours were.

A total of ten pilots took part in the race and the weather was as bad as was expected. The added weather made the race more challenging, especially the landing at Station C.

This is the course:

Dave and Austin were first to land at Station A, but Austin deferred to Dave due to his landing. Congratulations to Dave. Please visit our Trophy Case.

Thanks to all who attended. A really nice afternoon for all.

Well Ed,

You guys have outdone yourselves again. With all scenery downloads
complete and installed, I can see this one is gonna be a great one.

I've mentioned in private and will take the time now to say so on
the forum. These events just seem to get better as we go. Having attended all so far this one is right on the mark.

Thanks again for all the research and time that's been put into
these FREE events for all to enjoy(Yeah Geoff ,,,you too) and to
learn from as well. Always seem to pick up a little something new
at each event. Another wrinkle in the gray matter.(Plenty of room
there...lol)

See you on the 12th if not before.(Practice makes perfect you know)

Best regards

Austin

Hi Ed,

Many thanks for dropping by the forum.

Your scenery was quite a hit with our pilots and we had a fun outing with it. The scenery detail was excellent and it provided the perfect setting.

Hope you'll join us in a future event. I'll be sending you an email today.

Best regards,

Ed
