We had a great outing together on August 8 in Nassau Bahamas. Ten pilots registered for the event and eight participated.

The event was scheduled to begin in Nassau at 2100 GMT and many planes arrived early. Here’s an FSNav screenshot taken at about 2000. I am flying a Citation X as are several of the others.

Passing Great Harbour Cay about 60 nm northwest of Nassau International Airport and descending through FL140.

We welcomed John into our group for his first event. Sandman and John were the first to arrive in Nassau. While the rest of us continued our approaches and landings, Sandman helped John set up FSNav and get oriented to some of its features.

By 2030, four are in and four are still enroute. All had on time arrivals.

The transfer to the race course began right after 2100 with everyone deciding on their own transportation. Several chose the default Cessna Caravan Amphibian.

The boats are in the water and ready to start the race. Earlier in the week, Ed was the man to beat; now it’s Mike. Lots of work went into tuning up the trim to get the most horsepower to the prop. From left to right, Mark (N704FN), Austin (salt_air), John, Lintie, Ed, Mike, and Carl. Dave (Sandman) not shown.

The starter gives the word and all hit the throttle, leaving the inlet behind and heading out into Nassau Harbour. Austin and Mike take the early lead.

At the cruise ship at the end of the backstretch, it’s Mike in the lead, followed by Austin, Ed, and Mark all at 130 knots.

This has been a GREAT trip! Congratulations to Mike for winning the boat race and taking the trophy. Thanks to all for participating in this event. Hope to see you on the next multiplayer adventure in September.

Best regards,

Ed,

Sorry for the delay in responding to this fine revue.I'd like to once
again say THANKS for puttin' together and hosting another super event.
You and Geoff deserve trophies for all the work that you two do to
to keep this MP ball rolling. They just seem to get better each time.

Also like to take this opportunity to "invite" anyone reading this
who has yet to participate in these great events to come on out for
a really great time(couple of hours so far,,,and that's nothing in
FS)and to have a lot of fun with a bunch of FS nuts that enjoy having
a good time and helping each other out. I've been at all three events
and as yet haven't heard a question that didn't get answered nor do
I remember anyone having a problem that didn't get the help he needed
to continue on with the event.

These MP events are so much better than just doin' hoplists. Maybe we
should call them partys instead of events, refreshments next time Ed?
....lol...

Looking forward to the next one, and thanks again.

Best regards

Austin

Thanks to you both for the nice comments. It IS great fun flying in multiplayer events, going to different places and doing different things with folks who enjoy the hobby.

And Austin's right. We could use a few more pilots in the group as we go forward. It's easy to join up. When the event notice is posted, just send an email to Geoff and let him know you want to participate. That's all there is to it.

Drop by the forum occasionally to be sure you see the announcements.

Next event notice will be posted shortly. Stay tuned....

Certainly looked like a great deal of fun. I really like the Caravan group photo.
