I'm new to the golf seen only been playing it a week now but would like to play with another real person.
What is the Easiest way to play a game of golf online with another person for fun.
I've had a look at the EAonline thing in the game and it all looks pretty serious and I just wont to have a Friendly Game ??
Thanks for the help

Hi Spoons,
Glad to have you on the forum.
From your main menu select Network Play. Click on Direct IP and enter your name. Click on Join and enter the IP address for the game you are joining. Go through the several screens that follow, click on Tee Off, and you are IN.
I'll be glad to host a quick game so you can try it out. Propose a date and time in an email to me at LJ922@flightsim.com. I'll confirm by return email and give you an IP address to use. We'll meet at the appointed time on the IP and have a go at it.
Hope you can join us in the fly-in and tournament on June 6. Details are on this forum.
Best regards,
Ed

I too want to start playing online golf with TW 2004 but I don't want to have to pay an annual fee to play online. Can't we just do it like we do for Flight Simulator? How do you know the IP address of a game. And, how would I go about creating one if I wanted to invite some friends to play?
Thanks!

You only need to create a 'direct connect' game. You start the game, then wait for your friend to connect using your IP address. You can connect up to four players per IP address. No fees involved. It's all in the manual. Good Luck.

How do you know what your IP address is?

An easy way to find out is to go to http://www.whatismyip.com.
Depending on your internet service provider, your IP may be dynamic or static. Some ISP's change your IP everytime you log on. Others give you an address that stays the same.
If you want to give it a try, see my earlier post and drop me an email. I'll be glad to set up a time to give it a go with you.
An earlier post from spoons mentioned the internet site where the game is played. It is called EASports Online and the info on how to set up a golf character and connect to it are in the TW2004 manual. When you buy the game, it comes with a one year complimentary waiver of the fee. It's a great site and groups of golfers are teeing off every minute in several match up rooms. Be sure to give it a try.
Best regards,
Ed

>How do you know what your IP address is?
To find your IP address, Do the following:
Start / Run and type command in the box and press enter.
At the command prompt ( Black background ) type ipconfig /all and press enter.
Your IP address is the first one (at the top) attached to your external interface. (The one that routes you to the internet)
