Hehe looks like I'm the first (apart from Nels- good idea!) to post here.
I'm planning on creating on creating an online adventure involving flying aid to thirdworld countries.. if I can get enough interest, may consider planning more than 1 trip.
But before I can even think about it, is anybody actually interested? As third world landing strips are quite remote and very rough, we are looking at quite a few challenges!
Just reply if anybody is interested! :-)

What aircraft would you require?

Well it's gotta be touch, yet hold a lot of cargo, possibly with STOL. Open to suggestions really.
I'll join if I am allowed ;)
Would you need a microphone because I have not got one :(

I'm in! just plan it on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday or Sunday because those are my days off! I'd hate to have to call in sick to work for something like this. Also, is there going to be voice communication? Because I do have a Microphone!

Perhaps you could use Teamspeak for voice communications, it's a free program that basically replaces Roger Wilco. You need a separate program to act as server for it btw.

I would love to join in. May I please suggest that lets do a trial run either late this evening, I am on CST. I also think it would be great to set up voice communication. I have installed both RW and teamspeak and am open to either.
I am not sure but have heard that somtimes its more efficent on CPU's to have one person post an IP for voice c`ommunication and another person post the ip from there system as the flight host. I guess its refered to as direct ip connections. I went and got a mic they range from 8.00 us dollars (like a desk mic all the way to the wireless headsets (I so some over 100 us dollars). I ended up getting the Plantronics Audio 90. I found out when I read the review from the Voice Buddy. I dont have Voice Buddy, but the headset and mic combo work really well. Also it was priced at about 29 us dollars. There were comparable model from other manufactors costing more but these tested out better. In case someone dose not have a brick and mortar store the web site for the company is
www.plantronics.com asnd the 800 # is 800-544-4660. There also is a company I noticed in the various articles comparing mics and such, one I recall is Altec Lansing (please excuse any spelling there) but you find them on the web.
Thus even if some choose not to use voice communications (if I've gotthis correct) they can still hear the ones with voice communication (assuming they have a speaker, earphones or what have you. But with out the mic they could type there responce. I really like not having to type in and be more real world with voice communications.
I also want to add I am open to Multi Player any time I enjoy the Rockie Mnt area.
I will check back later this pm.
Thanks. Mark.
P.S. Sorry I forgot. One big advanage with the voice communication is that it is so much faster to connect by voice first, then whrn questions come up the can be answered so much faster than typing. It also enhances the info learned as it is less of a hassel to click a key and speak your comments and responce.
Agian I look forward to the flying.
Thanks agian.
Mark.

I'm a bit slow with some of these things (how to use them) but if it's simple enough to actually get onto it sounds cool, count me in :-) :-jumpy also I will only do it if it's free sorry

Please add me to your list for above.I'll keep looking in to see when you are to begin.Lintie
Anything on this yet? :-hmmm
Also I think a good plane would be a C-130, it can hold alot of cargo, handle rough landing strips and has STOL :7

We may do just that later on in the year. Give us some more info on exactly what you want to do.
Incidentally, there is a new aircraft in the downloads section today called suprvtol.zip . It may well be perfect for what you want.
Check it out. I haven't downloaded it yet ( I'm in work at the moment )

I had a look.. not bad.
However, I had something else in mind- something like a C-17, C-130, G-222 or something; a real cargo carrying aircraft. :-)
