Hey guys,

Wow, long time no see eh? Thought I'd pop back in to see how everyone is.

So... how is everyone? Had a quick flick through and I see some of the old faces around here. Great to see you guys stick around here still!

So, a quick update on me... I'm doing A-levels at college now, but, more importantly, I'm almost done with my PPL! :D . I'm just looking at doing my qualifying cross-country (was meant to go today, but the weather turned, might go tomorrow) down to Caernarfon, from Blackpool, via Hawarden, then I'm done!

So anyway, onto the screenshots. Today I bring you some shots of Excel Airways flight 234V from EGCC (Manchester, UK) to LPMA (Palma De Mallorca, Spain). It's the busy Saturday holiday milk run, and today Excel put on a freshly-painted 767-300. I love their new livery!

Here's some flight information:

Flight no: XLA234V
Departure: EGCC 0800
Arrival: LPMA 1035
Aircraft: B767-300ER G-VKNH

So, how about some screenshots then?

Loading up early morning at a darkish Manchester. The rain has left, and the cloud's beginning to clear for our departure:

Some interesting traffic in this morning, though why that BA 767 (which operates the New York run) isn't parked over in its rightful place at T3 I don't know!:

An Etihad A330 parked here, almost ready for departure:

A spotter's view as we line up, waiting for a Ryanair 737-800 to lift off:

And up she comes..:

Climbing out, looking back at the end of runway 24L. Apologies about the cut-off square at the top left - some menu introduced itself onto the screenshot that wasn't there when I took it... which was odd..:

Wing view of the climbout as we turn on the STAR to avoid some noise sensitive areas of Styal and Wilmslow:

Interesting angle as we turn onto a southerly heading to proceed on course:

OK, that's the end of Part 1 guys, thanks a lot for looking, and, of course, comments/constructive criticism much appreciated.

Look out for Part 2 - Descent/approach/landing very soon!

Oh, pity but your pics aren't showing up for me. I don't know why not, the URL to them looks okay. Hmm. If you can't get them to work, you could mail them to me (davestan_ksan@yahoo.com), and I could try and post them if you'd like.

take care,

Thanks Dave! It's appreciated!

Hmmmm, really not sure why my pics aren't showing, they were when I previewed and after I posted... Give me a few minutes. Shame you can't edit your post after an hour here :(
