Yet another of Kazunori Ito's releases; he must never stop working! :o This one is particularly welcome for me since I'm into aerobatics big time (even if I don't usually post them here!) and I've been priveleged to see some of the world's best flying these aircraft down at the airshow at Wanaka. Here's my test flight. (Well technically my second flight, I don't usually take screenshots of my first one :P) Enjoy!
I've mentioned this before, but the quality of Mr Ito's panels has gone up significantly lately; they still aren't stunning but they're perfectly functional and quite faithful to real life, and let's face it you can't expect too much for the small files that these usually are. :)

On goes the smoke.

Some serious metal down there; the "little" IL-114 looks a little lost among the others.

The roll rate on these aircraft is astounding.

They're a little tricky in "normal" flight, with the idea being that you're pretty much flying aerobatics from takeoff to landing.

Loops are handled with ease, even at quite low speeds.

The excellent power to weight ratio is what really makes these aircraft what they are, coupled of course with a huge propellor and very big control surfaces. The smoke tells the story. :D

I'm at my usual testing facility at Ulyanovsk in Siberia by the way.

Once again, I'll let the smoke tell the story. :)

It's actually possible to hang from that big propellor almost stationary for a good 10 seconds or so, although a bit of sideways drift is to be expected, as you can see here.

Well, that's it; if you're into aerobatics I'd thouroughly recommend this aircraft!
Comments welcome! :)
