This is my first post here in a very long, long time, and I'm using a different nickname now... but anyways, I had the chance to get going on FS9, and I'm loving it so far. I've always had a little fascination with flight, and simming is pretty much my only option for now, so I'm taking advantage of it.

These pictures have been through Photoshop, but not that much was done.

There's no story to tell about them unfortunatly, I just love this particular aircraft, it's the 737-200 by Erick Cantu (and others) in Westjet livery (well, livery is obvious) Quite a nice model, and this paint job isn't that bad.

I hope they're somewhat satisfactory!

I tried to lookup to see if any of my old posts were around, doesn't seem so, I don't even remember for certain what my old name was!

I'm 20 at the moment, and the last time I was really into Flight sim was when I was 14-16, I didn't use the forums much back then really, so I'm afraid my old identity is a bit of a mystery.

The only thing I have from back then is an archived Op-Ed, and boy, going back reading it now is a bit embaressing, but for historical purposes, in case anyone is interested: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/op-ed/ed206.htm

Edit: I always remember things after I post... but reading that old op-ed, it seems some of the issues I was going on about still seem to exist, meaning, the battle between realism and authenticity or treating Flight sim as more of a game. As of now I feel that if you want a "game" Combat Flight Sim or the like would be more appropriate, whereas Flight Sim is more for the serious pilot who wants to do things properly (by the book so to speak), or at least somewhere within the boundaries of accuracy. That's a whole seperate issue though and now I'm just rambling!

Ah right, I joined at the end of 2002 so you may have been before my time here.

I never remembered reading that op-ed but it's not bad, grammer isn't brilliant and the main point is occasionally lost but overall, it makes sense. I used to write a few op-eds, if you search the page for any made by "Rick Attfield" it'll bring up a few. When I read them back now I cringe somewhat as I really used to write about all sorts of rubbish and I do wonder what people must've thought.

I think I'm quite like you, I'm 20 too and I've drifted away from flightsim over the past year or so, I think for me it was my old computers fault. I wanted a great deal to be able to run FS9 with nice looking graphics and a decent framerate but until I could afford the upgrade, I had to deal with poor framerates because I refused to tone down the graphics settings! That evetually pushed my away from FS, I felt it was all too computer intensive. I did upgrade and installed FS9 again, but after an initial few weeks of getting right back into it and enjoying the new performance, I could never really get back into it like I used to. That's most likly why I'm not here as much as I used to be either, I did used to be a moderator on these forums (well, FS9 one and Outer Marker) but I think Nels revoked it because of my inactivity, which was fair enough. Anyway, look at me rambling on!

Nice shots btw ;) Welcome back!
