Not at all. It is the Aerosoft NYC scenery. Very Frame friendly surprisingly enough. I'm locked at 25 and will sit at 19-24.9 when flying around there. It is the AI from KEWR, KLGA and KJFK all at once that kills me.
Thanks for the comments

Wow! These are really great shots!

But what are you doing with Concorde? That's ours, give it back!

Does NYC often have aircraft carriers moored there like that?

Their is a floating Naval Museum called the USS Intrepid that is a permanent fixture in NYC. It is a retired US Aircraft Carrier that now serves as a permanent museum. If you look, there is also a submarine and another Naval vessel that are all permanent. There really are some cruis ships coming in and out of NY as well. The best is when we have what is called Fleet Week where probably 25 US Naval Vessels and what we call the Tall Ships, the old Naval Schooners come through New York Harbor. It is an amazing week for NYC. The Concorde coming to NYC was a real treat. They put it on a barge and floated it up the River. Stunning to see. I think it is only here temporarily though.
Thanks for the kind words on the shots...

Always a pleasure to give a tour. If you have any questions before you come out here, feel free to ask.

mmmm I can't believe you just brought up a dirty water dog. I had surgery last Thursday and have not had any solid food since. Dirty water dog ad a good crispy pretzel are some of the first things on my list as soon as I am able. The surgery explains the time for these posts as well :)

Hey Psolk

Oooh Crispy Pretzel - - sounds good too - - I'll have to try one of those Thanks for the generous offer for NYC info - I might give a call or email on that - -- we'll be staying in Battery Park area - I am really looking forward to the trip - -- -

Too bad Concorde won't be there (like the pic :)) I would pay for the Intrepid tour just to see that , but I bet I can find some things to do in the city ;-)

Best wishes with the mending !

thanks

oh yeah - You picked the perfect fixed wing craft (archer ?) for low and slow sightseeing

I believe the Concorde is now a permanent part of the Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum, but I'm not sure.

I hope it is permanent, I hate having to give things back. Feel free to get in touch before you come out, I can tell you some good places to eat amongst other things to do...

Thanks for the posts, guys. I really appreciate it. Katz's is definately on the list. I am glad to hear the Concorde is permanent, I am going to have to go and check out Intrepid again myself. Haven't been there in about 15 years...
Thanks again,

Judging from the altimeter on your approach to 2N8, it looks as though that airport is BELOW sea level! Is it?!?!

So I felt bad for my video post in the screenshot forum the other day and thought I would make up for it. Depart 2N8 Marlboro NJ in the DreamFleet Piper Archer II, cross the Garden State Parkway (trust me it is called a Parkway for a reason) into New York Harbor, up the East Side of NYC, cross Central Park and head down the West Side of NYC past the Intrepid, Ground Zero and Lady Liberty and then head home for a crosswind landing at 2N8. Hope this makes up for it...
