ATC VOICE NOT HEARD

Hey
I just started flying to test out my settings on my new gforce 2
Then I noticed I don't hear the ATC voices and the ATC TEXTS disappears quickly. I only hear ATC VOICES when I achknowledge something. Other wise message to me, from me, to other AI PLANES and from them aren't heard

On the menu:

OPTIONS | SETTINGS | ATC

See what's checked and what ain't! I turned off the text (there's a check box for it) so it's more realistic to only hear the audio. I leave the "Auto-open ATC window" checked - when messages come specifically for you, the window will open and you can enter an appropriate number for your response to ATC.

If this isn't your problem, I'll go away quietly - maybe!

ANYWAYS, everything there is checked except IFR ONLY.

the volume's right up...nothing seems to be wrong except that I hear no ATC now what so ever and the text scrolls SSSOOOO fast that different messages get listed instead of the one before "disappearing".

I know it sounds stupid, but is the sound working okay? It isn't muted is it? Just making sure. Hehe

UMM...YEA...EVERYTHING'S ON...I HEAR ENGINES FLAPS GEARS AUTOPILOT (WHEN I TURN IT OFF) the ATC volume is right up and stuff...its unexplainable

I have the same problem only with 747 and a couple of add-on AC.I have checked every thing I can think of. I can get the ATC sound to work for a few seconds when I jump back into the sim from a menu, but than it cuts out again... This has to be some type of a bug in the software.

I had a similar problem with the voices but still had text. I was using Aaron Swindle's 747 sound pack. He has uploaded a fix for that which I haven't tested. Going to default sounds fixed my problem.
