Jeff, nice to meet you! How are you? The Sigma is a superb lens. I did not regret buying it. Gives me more pinsharp action photos than the 300mm IS did. Even at 400-500mm. I tried the 100-400mm IS L last week and got worse results - but that might be because I am not used to the push-and-pull thing.

Anyway, your advice was good - thanks! I love it :-)
