Kevin, I took some liberties with your paint scheme. I added a “K” to the tail and used a more stylized font. Overall I made the whole thing a little fancier than your usual livery. I figured an airline executive would have a pretty fancy paint job on his private jet.
Just wanted to show you not everyone here is a raging dork.

Nice paint Ed!

Ever thought of painting it up in the "pink" PSA scheme? I would love it. If not, I can try it.

Well, when I lived in Tucson that was the airline I flew the most. 2nd was Western.

So yes, I am a huge PSA fan, was very sad to see it go.

I don't admire Special K very much, but what i do like are the pin stripes on that baby.

If I release this to the general public it will look more like this:

The reg number will be different; the one in the picture is from Kevins version.

I have my own method that works very well. It takes a bit of Photoshop knowledge though. The results are very crisp however.
In Photoshop you can make one layer a selection, while another layer is the active layer (the layer you are painting). So the selected layer is like masking tape over the layer you want to paint. I use the marque tool to make shapes, ovals and such, and use them as masks to cut out other shapes. It sounds complicated, but once you have it down you can do anything, and do it at high resolution with very crisp edges.

i thought that was true with any program that works with layers...

True. The program doesn't matter as far as this technique goes. Of course you do get what you pay for, and I can do a lot more with Photoshop CS than anything else I could think of.
The most important thing is to know the program well.

>Hey. Nice job. I like it. Could you e-mail it to me? Also,
>could you change the tail number to like AK-001, because
>that's what the rest of my fleet has on their tails.

Since the registration # for a/c is supposed to be unique (like a license plate on a car), why would all your "fleet" have the same number? :)

>The most important thing is to know the program well.

That's the key Ed. :)

I do pretty well with Paint Shop Pro 8...then again I do know my way around the program. ;)

I've already painted up a CX, I just need to find the time (and spare cash) to buy her. :)

With the new ATI 9800 arriving tomorrow, I think any new flightsim-related purchases won't make it by the CFO (read: Wife) :-lol

Heck, I still have to fly the 3-4 other payware birds I bought that are just sitting around collecting dust! :(

Excellent paints BTW Ed.
