I have 256 megs of ddr ram on my athlon XP proccessor. I heard mixed words around that win 98 will only handly or takes dvantage of 512 or 768, so i am not shure. Please tell me exactly what it is.
Thanks,
Paul

Win 98SE will only handle up to 512. If I had to do it all over again, I would not have upgraded to 768 and kept my Win98. Instead I upgraded to 768 and had to go with XP.

Alternatively,
Windows 2000 PRO works really well.
You'll see an improvement in performance over Win 98!
The only thing is that you will have to cruise the net a bit to get replacement Win 2000 drivers for your graphics, sound, etc.
But believe me, It's well worth it!

Yea i guess i will just stay with win 98 and get 512. I don't want to upgrade to a new OS yet. Maybe in a few more years.
Thanks,
Paul
