View Full Version : BBJ2 for the US Navy ?????
11-22-2003, 08:07 PM
The Navy is looking to replace the Lockheed P-3 Orion, after 40+ years of service. Boeing is proposing the use of a BBJ-2 as the airframe for their aircraft. Not much really to see, basicly an unpainted BBJ-2. The Aircraft is registered as N375BC, which after a FAA N-number search shows Boeing the owner, its a B737-8EV (EV code is BBJ2 customer), and flight cert of experimental / R&D Aircraft.
Sorry for not having more light. Didn't start work until 5:30pm and its already getting dark in Hawaii.
Be pretty cool to see someone "paint" this up on a FFX B738.

Anyway, nice shots! ( the first shot in particular!) I thought they could use a little brightening up though, so I played around with a couple...Hope you like!
EDIT: I can do the rest for you if you'd like, but not tonite...gotta hit the rack!

Pretty good edits there Chuck.
Did I forget to mention that Lockheed is also planning a replacement as well, It will be a turbo-prop (most likely the same engines as the C-130J). It will basicly be a P-3 for the 21 century.
