Flight From Idaho City to Boise

I just love this area! I took off from Idaho City USFS and flew a short distance to Boise AirTerm.

My plane for this flight is fortunately a STOL Dornier 228, as the runway here is not very long.

It's quite a narrow valley so I need to make a fairly sharp turn to head back the way I came, heading for Boise.

Boise was REALLY busy today, there are 4 Cessna Grand Caravans and a DC-9 waiting to take off, and 3 aircraft (4 counting me) coming in to land!

Finally landed, but I had to vacate the runway quick, so as not to cause major traffic conjestion!

Hello,

those are great shots and indeed the seats look very funny :-).
Must be quite a long flight to get the Dornier 228 from Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany
to the US :-O...or am I wrong and they produce them somewhere else too ?

GREAT SHOTS !

For this area the FS Genesis mesh of the Rockies and of the Western states is a must ! You are right the area is beautiful. I have been to Idaho City in real life and it is very beautiful. Try -Stanley-, situated a little bit north-east of Idaho City, even more beautiful because of the Sawtooth Mountain Range <--- fantastic scenery - I love it ! ;-)

Nice shots. I have been to the Boise Air Terminal a lot of times. As a boy, I can remember going there often to take my Grandpa to get on Hughs Air West. He bought and sold cattle and traveled all over. He was in Canada a lot. Thanks for bringing back some good memories.
