View Full Version : FS2002 Still Crashing.... Help Please

01-13-2002, 08:37 AM

I guess the Dreamfleet's 737 is the best Panel, Aircraft, etc etc
that we have ever seen in a Flight Simulator. But I am plagued by FS2002 crashing every five minutes.

My sytem is a Athlon K7 (700mhz) 500mhz Ram, TNT2,

I have tried all the advice out there about pulling those sliders back, and switching options off.

When it is running I get about 15fps.

I have, got rid of everthing else that runs in the background...

the best way to do this is to select
type in MSCONFIG
select Selective Startup
Untick the "Start Group Items box"

The computer will restart and then I right click on my Virus program and switch it off.

This improved things, but still, Crash, Crash.

I have reloaded FS2002
I have reloaded Dreamfleet's 737

I have changed my video card from a Voodoo to a Tnt... bad mave!

Now I have ordered GeForce3 64mrg 200, a lot of money..

Any help would be appreciated...great programs... and can't wait to get them all working.

Many Thanks

I had that proble with Win98 SE, it crashed 3 seconds into the game. I have a P3 450MHZ 128ram, All i did was *upgrade* my OS from Win 98 to XP, that helped me,

hi Bruce,
try to install the "4 in 1" driver from the Via web site if you have a Via chipset in your mobo (probably, if you have an Athlon CPU).
It's very easy and quick to install and for me it was the miracle. No more lockups. I run a AMD 1Gb with Iwill mobo and GeForce 64mb.
Hope it will help you

something else, continue using W98 SE, it's much better than XP with FS 2k2, for the moment.
