LAST EDITED ON May-03-03 AT 02:05PM (EDT)[p]Hey guys/gals, I had the chance to finally get out on the ramp here in Grand Forks, with my friend. Unfortunately, during his pre-flight, i didnt have a ton of time to take a lot of nice prepared pictures. The quality is ok, and it is at night, so a lot of things are blurry. Sorry about that. Overall, it was fun because I got to mess with the dual garmin 430's, and listen to minneapolis center...yay!!
(PS, there is also a C182 on floats and a cheyenne we have in our hangars)
Well, once again, sorry about the junky quality, but it was fun for me!!

That is not real pics! It is FS2004!!! Where did you buy that?
05-03-2003, 02:12 PM
That 182 is beautiful, but I wasn't aware they put them on floats? Is it new or was it some form of customization?
05-03-2003, 02:54 PM
Awesome!! Thats a wicked hangar, its so clean and nice! The 182 is pretty nice as well!

Well guys, thanks for the comments! No, I do not know any of the people you guys mentioned. I'm an air traffic control major, not a pilot, but I'll be taking my PPL this summer up here. The only reason I was on the flight line is that my friend was trying to get me to go as an observer on his night currency flight. The supervisor of flight (SOF) said i wasn;t insured, and wasnt in a flight program yet, so i couldnt fly....PPOOOO!!!
05-03-2003, 05:07 PM
Night currency huh? is it for 221?
05-03-2003, 05:19 PM
Ahhh, he's in the commericla course, he just finished his CPL, not sure of the call number....who are you, what year are you?
05-03-2003, 06:34 PM
Very nice pics, and a very tidy hangar! :)

LAST EDITED ON May-03-03 AT 06:48PM (EDT)[p]hey, this is Aaron - the one Phillip was talking about. I think I've heard of you Ryan - is your nickname "butters"? oh, and what year are you?
Anyway, I'm a pre-aviation (going towards commercial aviation) major at UND (freshman), finished my PPL in January and going to continue on to 221 next fall. I know a couple people that are freaked out with the recent plummit of the airlines and are switching majors right after 102. Either that or planning on getting double majors in ATC or Aviation Management. For myself it looks like I'm holding in there.
Great pics tho! I'm pretty sure my ID card still works for security so I could run out and take a few if I wanted... or take you along for more pics sometime.
(oh and for observations, you have to be enrolled in the same flight course as the person you're riding with. But anyone with current flightline security can take a friend to just look around;) )

Tanveer, I'm not a pilot, and the FAA is a little stingy around here, but overall, I'd say UND has one of the best programs (if not the best) in the nation.
