Ilyushin Il-10 (NATO reporting name: "Beast") was a Soviet ground attack aircraft developed from the Il-2 Sturmovik, at the end of World War II, by the Ilyushin construction bureau. Production of the Il-10 started in Kuybyshev factories on 1944. In January 1945, the first Il-10 combat unit entered service with the 78th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment, but it did not enter action due to unfinished training. CFS/FS98 Taylorcraft L-2 Grasshopper. The L2 Grasshopper was an American observation and liaison aircraft built by Taylorcraft for USAAF in World War II. In World War II, the USAAF began using the L-2 in much the same manner as the observation balloon was used during World War I, spotting enemy troop and supply concentrations and directing artillery fire on them. It was also used for other types of liaison and transport duties and short-range reconnaissance which required airplanes that could land and take off in minimum distances from unprepared landing strips.
