Royal Romanian Air Force owned ten worn Do 17Ms which were received in spring 1942 and assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Squadron, Craiova Airfield and three Do 17Ps captured in 1944 and them used only for training purposes. Do-17Ms wore serial numbers from one to ten and Ps fron eleven to thirteen. None of the thirteen Romanian Do-17 survived the war. Needs DORNIER_DO17Z2_10.ZIP base pack. FS2004 Scenery--Aasiaat BGAA Greenland. Qikiqtarjuaq, on the east coast of Baffin Island, is the jumping off airfield for ferry flights for small planes from Canada to Europe via Greenland. Aasiaat is the airfield in Greenland that they jump to, 300 miles across the Davis Strait; the name in Danish is Egedesminde. The airfield is on the northern coast of Aasiaat Island, one of a series in the Aasiaat Archipelago. The runway is 2, 600 feet of asphalt almost 100 feet wide and lighted, aligned 12/30, with the apron and terminal building at the western end. Air Greenland run regular flights with a Dash-8 or Twin Otters, and the markings for the taxiway and parking spot in front of the terminal are exactly as they were six years ago. Unfortunately, given the limitations of FS and the single runway and simple taxiway routing there was no way to replicate both the parking facing away from the terminal AND the "through" taxiing to complete the circle back to the runway; after parking correctly the AI Air Greenland plane will reverse before heading out to take off. This aircraft, registered HC-ARK, flew for Americana de Aviacion in the 1970's covering the companys main routes and sometimes including the medium range route to the Galapagos Islands. It ended its life scrapped in the early 1980's at the Quito aircraft graveyard, the airframe was recycled to make aluminum window frames and the landing gear tires rubber to make shoes.
