I have had an obsession with aviation for as long as I can remember. This
is probably because my father was in the RAF, even though he was afraid of
flying! So I suppose that's why I find flightsims really enjoyable.What started me designing aircraft was when I saw aircraft that had great models and textures though they were really let down by their awful panels and sound. Once I learned the basics of aircraft design I formed J-Planes. J-Planes basically designs aircraft which aren't let down by bad panels and sound and now with a good reputation we are still making very successful aircraft and I hope we'll continue to do so.
As much as I like flightsims I know very well that you can't ever recreate the feeling of flying in real life. I am currently training for my private pilots license at Biggin Hill airport which is just outside of the center of London and is a really great place to fly over with nearby landmarks like Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Millenium Dome.
As for my future I hope to eventually become a commercial pilot so there is obviously a lot of work ahead of me though I am doing all I can to be competitve with other hopeful pilots doing things like training at Biggin Hill and of course learning with flightsims.
