am 37 and live in
South Manchester in the UK. I have been using Flight Sim for as long
as I've had a computer capable of running it, starting with v2 on the
Atari 520ST, then on to v4 on the PC. Despite buying every new
version I never really progressed beyond flying the Cessna round the
default scenery. Then I bought a modem.Discovering FSFORUM on Compuserve and all the flight sim related Web sites made me realise what I'd been missing. After the initial download frenzy, I started looking round for the type of aircraft I wanted to fly. I'm not a great fan of the 'heavies', I prefer regional airliners, and Marty Baclawski's Dornier 328 fitted the bill. Asking Marty for the afx so I could repaint it was a major turning point in my interest in flight sim and aviation in general.
Marty and I now build aircraft as a team. He handles the physical model and I do the flight model and painting. We specialise in regional/commuter airliners, mainly turboprops. My bookcase is now filled with aviation reference books and magazines as I try to gather as much information as possible about our current and future projects.
