WHO'S WHO

Gary Kulash

Gary Kulash. It's a household name for hundreds of thousands of virtual aviators across the globe and those who tune in to his weekly radio show every Saturday. Although not even 20 yet, Gary has already left his mark and helped to change the entire virtual aviation industry, specifically virtual airlines.

Gary's interest in aviation dates back as long as he can remember, and he started flying on his first flight simulator at the age of 5. He has no clue where that interest came from, but says his father's love for flight may have influenced his interest in the field. Since those earlier days of his life, Gary's love for flying has grown greater literally by the day.

He joined his first virtual airline in early 1996, and moved his way up through the industry to top executive positions, where he helped to lead several airlines to great success, gaining them 100's of pilots, and much needed AFX files from friends in Project Freeware.

In late 1996/early 1997, Gary's goal changed, and he resigned from the positions he held at all airlines, at which point he opened a virtual aviation news source called the Virtual Airline News Breaker, or VANB. Needless to say, with his lack of experience, that service failed within several weeks. Gary was far from defeated, however, as he opened the Virtual Airlines News Flash, or VANF in late January of 1997. That news service was an instant hit, and defeated the leading news provider of the time, the VANewswire/VNN.

The VANF started off of Geocities, with a poorly designed amateur site. Today, those graphics and websites are a thing of the past. The VANF's page has been professionally designed, and is unmatched.

Gary's dedication and hard work is also unmatched. He spends an average of 5 or more hours a day working with the VANF. Whether he is writing news, or preparing the latest VANF Weekly Show, you can be sure he is working whenever he is on the Internet. That dedication has allowed his continued success. In fact, more than 7 other news agencies have attempted to compete with him. All have failed within a month or less.

The VANF Weekly Show started in September of 1997, and has since grown into a major production, backed by the Sector 47 Radio News Network, Aviation Weekly, and VirtualAirlines.Com, in addition to numerous major corporations. The show has even gone as far as catching the attention of nationwide television show, the Wild Wild Web, in addition to the LaCrosse Tribune, and various other newspapers and magazines.
