what you might call a SPECIAL PROJECTS man. I gave up
trying to design aircraft with Flight Shop way back when it first
came out. So in trying to figure out how to contribute to the FS
Community, I saw a need in the "support" end helping designers doing
research, scanning pictures, beta testing etc. Before long I had my hands full behind the scenes. Sitting in on forums, fly-ins, chat/message rooms, I listened and talked to other simmers about what they would like to see appear on the FS scene which led to a great many new aircraft and some sceneries.
Teaming up with my partner Robert "Turk" Kirkland, we formed a virtual Flight Sim Company, "FLIGHT SIM DEVELOPERS". With the addition of other team members, Terry Hill, Gerald Schmidt and Graham Waterfield, we put together projects combining sometimes aircraft and scenery with an overall theme, other times just aircraft and or objects. Flight Simulator is a complete 3D Virtual World that you can design anything in.
Another FS pal of ours is Jerry Arzdorf. About a year ago I asked Jerry to design some "ground vehicles" which have led to all sorts of new creations as ships, subs, trucks, cars, busses and even a train. I also encourage designers to branch out even further into space craft and NASA experimental concept aircraft. I've seen pigs, flying bricks and just about anything designed in Flight Shop. I'm currently working on getting some NASCAR racing automobiles designed along with some static versions that can be put in some NASCAR race track sceneries. So you see the only limitation is your imagination as to what can be designed for FS. With the help of other designers we are always looking for new ideas and ways to make the hobby of Flight Simulator an enjoyable experience for all.
