I am an electrical engineer (communications) by education, but have
ended up in the commercial and service operations of combustion
turbines.Ever since I can remember, my hobby has been aircraft, and specifically, the WW1 through mid-fifties period. The flightsim bug bit me in the mid eighties, but finally I got serious about it around a year and a half ago. I quickly found out that I wanted to build and repaint for myself. My online flying bug is spent mostly on the online air combat simulation "Air Warrior".
I was fortunate that my postings in various design forums attracted the attention of two interesting and respected groups in the hobby. With Pegasus Aviation Design, I can give vent to my "period" military interest, and with Freeflight Design, I can help promote the design side of the hobby.
As of this writing, December, 2000, I am not yet a prolific flightsim modeller (let's face it, we're not designing new aircraft). I consider that my contribution to the hobby is pointing new devotees of the flightsim modelling hobby in the right direction, urging them to greater achievements, all with a grain of humor. After all, this is a hobby (for most people at least).
