WHO'S WHO

David Drouin

I'm 27 years old and I live to Quebec, Canada. My professional career? Software development engineer! But unfortunately, not in any flight sim related domain... I'm working on the same project with Turbo Pascal 1.5 for Windows since 1991. The program is a software for Service Repair.

I have used FS since version 5.0. Like many users I discovered my region was a large uncovered area. I begin my first scenery with FSASM; I built my regional airport. After a year I begin version 2.0 of my scenery and added one other airport. After version 3.0 and 9 airports, an ATC of Quebec called me to form a Team (Quebec Virtual Pilot's) with three others. Version 4.0 of Quebec is built with 110 airports and we currently working on version 5.0.

I'm also the author of GPS for Flight Simulator 95. I never expected this program can be so popular. The next version of GPS will be a GPS/FMS system. The program will be a DLL file, so it will start at the same time as flight simulator. A menu will be added in your flight simulator program to use it. The FMS system will return all info on the selected airport. The database will be more complex and I will try to import all navaids and airports of the Canada, USA and Europe. The FMS will also work with a flight plan.

Thanks to Adam Szofran for the FSASMLIB.DLL, without his help, the GPS had never exist.
