Roy Chaffin
have been an aviation enthusiast all my life, competing in the
World Model Aircraft Championships when I was 11 years old and flying
my first full sized aircraft when I was 14. I have been a Flight
Simulator user for many years, but believe it's only relatively
recently come of age.
Apart from flying Flight Simulator 98, developing highly functional
freeware panels is my main interest, with a speciality in 3D
compatibility.
In early life I spent many years in the Royal Air Force, followed by a fairly short but successful commercial career in electronics. Ten years ago I gave it all up to become a full time Professional Wildlife Artist. Now ten years on, both my work and I are renowned around the world. See http://www.roychaffin.com
It is my success in Wildlife Art that gives me the time and money to pursue my main hobby, developing add-ons for Flight Sim, a hobby that is both demanding and rewarding.
I have extensive knowledge of both PC hardware and software, and enjoy building high performance PC's, and developing FS software. Even now at the grand old age of 50 I am still keen to learn new skills, and work on new and exciting projects.
Developing the DUAL Panel, where you can change seats in mid flight without even pausing the flight, is to date the project I am most proud of.
