was
born on July the 26th 1979, so I am 19 years old. At this moment
I am studying a Mechanical Enginering Education in Utrecht. Within a
year I hope I can finish this school and then go to Haarlem and study
Aircraft Enginering. I got involved with flight simulators when my
father bought our first real PC in 1990. My first simulator was A320
made by Thalion. After a year I switched to ATP, the simulator where
I really learned to fly!
![]() Here I am standing beside the Cessna 172N a few minutes before my first flying lesson. |
In the winter of 1996/1997 I launched my first completely new aircraft, an A340 of Virgin Atlantic. I sold her at "De Luchtvaart Hobby Shop" ("The Aviation Hobby Shop") near Schiphol. I sold only a few of these A340 collections, because soon after I made an A310/300 collection with Dutch airlines on it. This was the beginning of FlightSimulator Updates Nieuwegein, a small bussiness I set up.
In the summer of 1997 I started designing the 757-200. In the winter of 1997, she went commercial and I am now selling the Dutch airlines at some shops in Holland. The other airlines are freeware on the Internet (see Flight Test page, the 757-2B6 of Royal Air Maroc).
Together with Bernard Havinga, I now have a home service. We then visit the people's houses and "repair" their computer and Flight Simulator.
Together with Rob Schatborn and Arie Barnhoorn, I am also one of the organizers of the FsFan Voorschoten, one of the biggest Flight Simulator clubs in Europe! I make the flights (adventures with real ATC (with Shiratti Commander), the scenery and the aircraft. And believe me, that takes a lot of time.
My future projects:
I am going to design a Boeing 777-100/200/300, and a couple of Fokkers together with Thomas Dietrich.
