served in the Canadian military for 25 years, and retired in July
1988. My trade is vehicle mechanic and I have had my provincial
certificate for that trade since 1967. I worked at a couple of
different garages as mechanic and foreman for about 5 years, and have
now been with Chrysler of Canada here in Windsor since 1993 building
the full-size Dodge Van for all of North America. My interest in computers began only just over 2 years ago, and my involvement with the world of flight sim began immediately. But my love for flying has been with me all my life. I always enjoyed it, but alas, never could afford it, and still can't! I got hooked on designing scenery initially because I wasn't [and still am not] enthralled with the rendition by the Microsoft crew, despite their quest for realism, of Canada especially, and some other parts of the world in general. Everything looks great from 25000 feet, but I like cruising the flight line and being able to see the hangars and other general airport detail, etc. So, I decided to try and enhance what they began, and to create where they had neglected. I began with the airport here in Windsor, and then I started looking for more and more challenges. It didn't take long to become more interested in building stuff, such as Mid Air Refueller, rather than fly! And that's where I am right now; thanks to the people who gave us their design programs to use freely, and places like this where we can gather to exchange ideas, information, and of course, down-load all those files!
