Marco Balzarotti

Marco Balzarotti was born on November 14th, 1967 in Milano, Italy. His biggest passion since he was a young child is aircraft, obviously.

In 1985/86 he obtained the Italian Private Pilot License (1st & 2nd Degrees) at the Airclub of Milano, Airport of Bresso (Milano). After flying for about 150 Hours VFR on Cessna 172, Siai Marchetti S-205-20R, Cessna 150 & 152, Partenavia P66, Procaer PC-15 "Picchio", Piper Warrior 140,180,160, Piper J3 Cub, Beechcraft BE 33 Bonanza in Italy as a Private Pilot, he moved to the United States in Daytona Beach, Florida, from 1992/93 and 1993/94 where he obtained the FAA Commercial Pilot, Instrument, Multi Engine-Land ratings at Phoenix East Aviation Inc. and Aerosafety (a Division of Phoenix East Aviation) flying the Piper Warrior 160, Cessna 152, Cessna 172 Cutlass RG, Cessna 172, Cessna 182 XP, Piper Seminole, Piper Seneca II Turbo Charged, and completed FAA Training for the Beechcraft Super King Air 200 and Boeing 727-100.

After coming back to Italy, Marco was employed for an Aerotaxi Company (now bankrupt) operating a BeechJet 400 and doing some flight time on a Piper Cheyenne I. He also totaled about 800 hours flying a Swearingen Merlin SA-227-TT (the shorter executive version of the Metro) and, due to the loss of flight employement in Italy, he flies as part-time first officer on a Rockwell 690 A Turbo Commander.

Due to his high school study in computer programming, another of Marco's passions is computers, and so, flight simulator. Marco is employed as free lancer in a big Italian Software House, ITI Information Technology Italia S.p.A. as Visual Basic and Visual C++ programmer.

As an hobby, Marco has another big passion--motorsports (mostly PPG C.A.R.T Series) and is a FIA Licensed Kart driver in the 125 C.C. Intercontinental Formula C Series.
