What would you buy if you had $500 (New Zealand dollars!) pocket
money and you were downtown in a store with all the flightsim
controllers available and on a little grey shelf the best yoke
around. The CH Products Flightsim Yoke USB LE (Limited Edition) is by
far the one I would choose. It has lots of little handy features to
make it like a yoke in a real cockpit. This yoke beats the realism of
any other joystick, and my advice is if you think that Microsoft
Sidewinder is better for one second, you're just jealous. I live in
New Zealand so it cost me 500 dollars to buy this yoke. But buying it
directly is only $349.95 (around $110 U.S.). Quite cheap if you ask
me. Here are the features that this great yoke contains:
The yoke has three axis so you can control it all nicely. These axis are the throttle lever, left and right motion and forward and back motion. I also have the Pro Pedals USB version to go with it and the combination is awesome. The smooth and responsive way the plane will fly with the USB yoke is ideal and if I'm not mistaken, it only needs to be calibrated once. My story is a long one. I have had three controllers in my life. When I had FSFW95 I had a small funny little stick that I got for 2 dollars. Then I got FS98 and I got a joystick called the Saitek Ace Master. Then I got FS2000 and my Ace Master was getting old and I could not control the plane properly so I posted a message at the KLM Virtual Airlines forum and the president of KLM Virtual Airlines introduced me to the CH Products controllers and it was like my dreams had come true. So now I've got this great yoke.
I give the CH Flightsim yoke a positive and proud score of 100 points. You don't see it happening all the time.
