hen I opened up
this package and installed the panel, aircraft, and sound, I was
completely amazed! By combining together all three things VIP has
made a very realistic set.
The panel is probably the most inportant thing in this set since
that is what you see the most. I think VIP has done a great job. From
having to "press your nose against the window" to see while you're
taking off, to just the feeling of being in a DC-3 this panel has it
all. This panel has the real look and feel of the DC-3. A few
technical things:1) While you're taking off hold down shift and press enter to "press your nose against the window".
2) The first time you use this panel you may have to change a setting in FSFW95; just go to View, then to View Options, then click on the Instrument Panel Tab and make sure the Stretch With Parent window button is not lit up. If you don't have this set this way you will not be able to see the panel.
3) As always don't forget that to view some instruments you must hit the tab key.
A note about flying these aircraft:
To steer on the ground you must use the F11 and F12 keys; F11 will turn you left and F12 turns you right.
In my conclusion I would rate this package about a 9 1/2 because although this came pretty close as my mother always says, "Nothing is perfect."
