Once In A Lifetime Switzerland Vacation! Part 2

High Adventure in the Swiss Alps with Switzerland 2 by Flight & Cockpit

By FlightSim.Com Staff (21 October 2000)

Taxiing to parking after a breathtaking landing near high terrain. Look closely to see the cloud capped ridge. You'll get used to seeing lots of weather effects around here. Sunset with cumulous below. Howl at the moon!
Getting ready for takeoff. What dramatic view ahead! Scud running in the rain, through the valley. There's the airport! It's going to be a tight downwind leg! The Dreamfleet 2000 Cessna is fabulous for some low level sightseeing, day or night. Dreamfleet 2000 Cessna just after landing. A very nice visual model to complement the scenery.
Terrifying sight ahead! Which way to turn? And is there even time? Climbing high in the sunshine on a glorious morning. Don't let it fool you. The "box canyon" ahead goes well over 11,000 feet, and that's the point I had to turn around to make it out alive. Getting ready to turn back. Good pilots need to have an escape route. In this case, it's not straight ahead!
High overhead Sion (I think), on the way to the Matterhorn. Climbing fast upwards to 17,500. Note the alpine lake. Another, just WOW shot. The glacier is so real looking. If only you could land on it and slide down for some fun! Speeding past some close peaks at 255kts. We're in the region of permanent snow cover and ice falls.
There it is! The Matterhorn dead ahead! You can see where France is located, as the default scenery runs right up close to it. Circling to the back side, looking toward Switzerland. Headin' back now, only to return soon I hope...

The Flight & Cockpit Switzerland 2 scenery gets an 89 out of a possible 100 points.
