The strait of Gibraltar is one of the most pivotal and tactical locations in the entire world, containing the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. The area was captured by the British and is still held by the British although it resides as the bottom of Spain. It is a beautiful setting, with the view of Africa available when taking off, and is a great destination, and challenge.
Gibraltar is an interesting airport, with road running right through the runway, and water touching each end, leaving no room for error. There is a big 'rock' that is next to the runway, so that makes departures limited. It is a small airport, with just a few gates; the only way to get to the ends of the runway is by back taxiing. It is a fun airport to fly into, with great scenery, ultra-realistic textures and of course a great setting for a dramatic entry. It's not the biggest, but will accommodate a 757 or 767 easily, but MD-11 pilots beware you'll never get your plane in here!
This airport has one runway, 09/27 and the main taxiway is the runway, so taxiing must be done while no planes are in the pattern. This airport only serves routes to Great Britain and Spain, so it is used almost entirely by Airbus A320's and similar, but can accommodate more. It's a small place, so you won't want to fly big stuff in, and it's easy to explore.
AES or airport enhancement services allows the airport to have fully functioning AI ground vehicles, but in this product, it accurately details the road traffic that goes across the runway, and when a plane goes onto the runway, the little gates close and cars stop crossing it. If also has little seagulls flying above the airport, plus service vehicles zipping here and there and road vehicles drive around the airport, not just across it.
The buildings here are all custom made no default auto-gen buildings here. They are detailed beautifully, and they look phenomenal. They lay in their correct places and the serve their functions and make this package very realistic.
I am more than impressed with this airport, it contains so many great innovative features, and smart AI all in a tiny package. It is an extremely realistic product, with accurate buildings, textures, and the big rock/mountain looks phenomenal. From the sounds and sights of seagulls flying around and squawking and the sounds of the ocean licking the coast, this product makes one satisfied with their purchase and is definitely a must-have for lovers of Spain, beautiful settings and the Mediterranean Sea.

This product only covers the airport and surrounding peninsula of land.
