his
is the second in the series of German airports, and contains
scenery for Dortmund, Frankfurt, Hannover, Kassel Calden, Koeln Bonn,
Munster, Paderborn and Leipzig. Before reading this review I would
recommend reading the excellent review of
German Airports 1 by John Haley.
Tested on:
There are no static aircraft at the airports, however you can download
them from Aerosoft's Web site.
The handbook that accompanies this product is quite well done and
includes all of the Jeppesen airport and approach plates, which are
easy to read. However I would have liked to have seen a map of
Germany, with the airports marked on. If you are a newbie and cannot
navigate, then the maps are pretty much useless until you figure out
how to navigate. If the airports were marked on a map of Germany, at
least you could have flown from one airport to another using a
compass bearing from the VOR. Perhaps they may put it on their
Web site for people to download and print out (publishers take
note, hint, hint).
Overall this is a quality product which will no doubt sell by the bucket full. The only things that remains to be said is: How about doing some English airports, Aerosoft?
