If you do not delete the fokkerf50.ini file located in \FS2000\gauges before you load this panel, you are very likely to experience repeated backward somersaults of the aircraft on the runway immediately after the plane appears. Not only is this unrealistic behavior for an F50 (in my experience, anyway) but it also spills the drinks. The fokkerf50.ini stores the settings for the panel in this file and a bug (Microsoft would probably call this a 'feature') causes the back flips if you do not delete the file every time before you load the aircraft in FS2000. Once the plane is active, a new ini file will appear, which is needed for the panel to work - do not delete this when FS2000 is running!
If you are not a fully paid up geek, here is how you find the file and delete it. The instructions are for Windows 98.
1. Shut down FS2000
2. Make sure you have file name extensions turned on. In Windows Explorer, go to the menu, click 'view' then 'folder options' and uncheck the box saying 'hide extensions for known file types' if it is not already unchecked.
3. Open Windows Explorer, expand the 'program files' tree by clicking on the + sign on the left of 'program files', look for 'microsoft games' and expand that the same way, look for 'FS2000' and expand that, look for 'gauges' and expand that. Then scroll through the 'gauges' folder and find a file called fokkerf50.ini and delete it by left clicking on it and pressing the delete key. Next time you start the aircraft, the engines will be off and the back flips won't happen - theoretically.
