The installation, as I got it, is as any other 3rd party scenery installation. Inside the Colorado folder, bgl's go into the scenery folder and all the rest into texture, and once the FS setup is done, one has a fairly long list of airports in Colorado to choose from.
The scenery includes many airports in Colorado, from large international ones, to small dirt runways next to small villages and many in between. Most of which have nice views surrounding them. Some of the airports are surrounded by mountains and located at altitudes up to 7,000 feet or higher!
I might as well say it now, there is nothing extraordinary in here.
However, there are airports, which, like said before, are surrounded with very nice looking mountains.
Also, some small airports have a few static planes, but they aren't too convinicing.
The larger airports are done nicely as well. Denver International, for example, is complete with static planes and gates.
Unfortunately, not the static planes nor the gates were done very well. There aren't any taxiway markings (such as some freeware sceneries have), and the terminal buildings have a pretty simple look.
However, night lighting, at least in Denver, is very nice. The city lights up very nicely and the surrounding airports as well.
Ok, down to business. The frame rates, on my P166 (64 RAM) when in "very dense" mode, were pretty tolerable. However, when in and around large airports, I found that the frame rate drops at times, to an annoying low number. This usually occurs only during takeoff or landing, and when flying even near the mountains the frame rate goes up again.
As you can see, the scenery eventually starts to repeat itself.
If you have never been to Colorado or if you don't have any connection to the area, I think this scenery would eventually start to bore you.
However, if you live in Colorado, fly for a VA who is based there or if you are familiar with the area, and you are interested in it, this scenery might be worth while for you.
I myself live in Israel, and I have never been to Colorado, so I didn't find the scenery very entertaining nor exciting. I enjoyed
the mountain views and the cities and small airports, but eventually I got tired of it.
I guess that if one of those airports was my home town airport, or if I had ever flown that area before, it would of have been a different story.
