FlightSim.Com Reviews: Aspen 98 Scenery

Aspen 98

Behnke has improved a scenery that didn't need
to be improved. This is a truly fabulous scenery.
INSTALLATION
This scenery installs for the most part very easily, as do most
sceneries; however there are a few twists in that there are some
files that must go in the FS default scenery folder. What I did was
just rename the default files temporarily (this is just for the
winter effect).
LOTS OF INFO
There are four airports included in this scenery: Aspen-Pitkin
Airport, Lake County Airport, Eagle County Regional Airport and
Glenwood Springs Municipal Airport. William Behnke has also
included a lot of reference information including information right
out of the IAP (instrument approach procedures) manuals, including a
map for missed approach, as you don't want to hit a mountain after
missing an instrument landing.
REVIEW
As you can see in the screenshots there is now even more attention to
detail in this version of Aspen scenery. There is a more true to
life looking tower, an animated radar tower and a very detailed fuel
area.
And let us not forget winter at Aspen where everything is white.
Eagle County Regional is also very well done a with
tower, radar and fuel area. All have very accurate instrument
approach information. The only thing that might make this scenery
better would be the addition of static aircraft. The previous
version hit 4000+ downloads and I'm sure the new version will do that
or better. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this scenery a 8.
