We now have 2 new flight options, For those who would prefer or can only find the time for short haul flights.
The first of the new type of flights is called Channel Express Highland Charters, These flights will depart from Edinburgh International Airport to other Scottish Airports and surrounding Isles. For example the Shetlands, Outer Hebrides etc The aircraft used for these flights will be the British Aerospace ATP. These new flights were going to be Spring and Summer flights only, But where would the fun be in that. Smile emoticon As I believe it will be interesting flying conditions, Even for the most experienced flight simulator pilot. As most of the Island airports don't have ILS.
The next of the new flights is called City-Link , [ Does what it says on the tin ] These flights are aimed at the more business flights criteria, The flights start from small regional airports to London City then depart to nearby European Airports Brussels and Amsterdam. The aircraft used will be the 2 newcomers to the Channel Express the fleet The Canadair CRJ 200 & the Embraer 170-100 LR. Only one of each at the moment, But there are plans to expand if these flights prove popular.
The last announcement is the expansion of our sister airline flyskylines. This is a Virtual Airline in its own right. And has its own dedicated webpage within the main channel express web site. Its base of operations is at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv in Israel. And has its own flight schedules and fleet of aircraft.
