USAvAMC is enjoying success since being re-introduced to the flightsim community. Began as Virtual Military Airlift Command in April of 2009. Do to conflicts with another VA using the acronym (VMAC) we attempted to distant ourselves from this conflict but with numorious changes and updates it caused more damage than it resolved and in January of 2010 we shut it down to rebuild. USAvAMC is the result of a multi effort by original members and myself and a host of new members to present an entirely creative new program. USAvAMC was presented here on July 10, 2010 and is enjoying much success.

What makes USAvAMC standout to members is our motto. Freedom of Flight - Freedom of the sky - Freedom of fun. With the help of Phpvms, FStools & FS Products we have the ability to give virtual pilots more freedom to fly their sims.

Anyway, pay us a visit.

USAvAMC also presents Virtual Civil Air Patrol. This is a sub-site and not part of our main program. We've done this to permit the development of CAPS not only to have its own identity but to allow it to structure the program to real world CAP standards and is developed by real world CAP personnel.

This program main platform is the new Abacus Civil Air Patrol Search & Rescue software. Brian Callahan who is the Virtual National Commander of vCAPS is himself one of the developers of this product and of this new site scheduled to open within the next couple weeks.

The intent of vCAPS is to provide a platform to introduce flight simmers to the mission work of the Civil Air Patrol and to have them experience, first hand, the various types of mission profiles that the real world CAP flies and to simulate the role that Transport Pilots and Emergency Service Mission Pilots fulfill when serving their assigned duties in the Civil Air Patrol.

The USAvCAP will also serve the training needs of real world CAP Mission Air Crew Personnel, Communication Teams, and Mission Staff Personnel by providing a virtual simulated mission procedure training environment for all aspects of Emergency Services Air Missions.

The Civil Air Patrol owns and flies the largest fleet of Cessna aircraft in the world with well over 500 aircraft positioned throughout the 50 states of America. In addition to the Cessna fleet of 172's and 182's in round dial configurations, the CAP flies C 206's, Maules, L 19 Bird dogs, and GA8 Air Vans by Gippsland. The CAP is now being equipped with C-182T model G1000 glass cockpit Cessnas as will as refurbishing its late model C172's with upgraded glass cockpit avionics and communication panel upgrades.

We don't fly anything with twin engines or low wings unless a privately owned aircraft is authorized to fly missions only under emergency conditions when no other aircraft might be available under critical mission conditions.
