TAP Virtual, 2nd Decade, stronger!
Next 16th January 2010, at 00:01am, TAP Virtual will come up with a restructured image. The virtual airline which operates under TAP Portugal's license will launch a new site and run a new flights and pilots management/operation system. This is the way that the whole TAP Virtual airline will enter the 2nd decade of its existence.
FOS - Flight Operation System is the new advanced conception software which will administratively manage the company. It incorporates many functions of which stands TAP LOG, a very powerful and completely new flight management and pilots assessment platform.
This system has been developed over the last three years by Carlos Godinho and Carlos Bandeira, company staff, and continuously monitored by David Mestrinho, a real TAP PORTUGAL pilot. It covers a wide range of aeronautical knowledge and operation of airbus aircrafts. It has been put to test by a group of committed and highly motivated Beta testers, so FOS/ TAP LOG is ready to answer all the requirements of the modern add-ons. It also monitors, evaluates, monetizes and promotes the pilots within the company based on thorough operational criteria. The system enhances the best performance and rewards pilots who fly in an online environment with the help of a completely innovative Efficiency Points system.
It is not possible to point out all the FOS and TAP LOG potential which integrates a common structure; we have to mention that it is not known, whether in the national or international panorama, any system implemented in a virtual company that can match this as it integrates a myriad of functions and provides the company pilots with a widespread range of flight and diversified aircraft operation supporting documents.
The system can only be accessed by TAP Virtual pilots who can now enjoy an authentic and as real as it gets flight simulation. With mandatory qualifications - Oceanic, Funchal, Horta and Bissau - pilots are also certified in the respective aircrafts through written and practical Type Ratings.
The implementation of FOS and TAP LOG induced a thorough renovation of the company Operations Manual in order to reflect the new career progression politics in TAP Virtual.
Thus TAP Virtual expects to contribute to a new era in air simulation, by challenging pilots to improve their performance whilst integrated in the national and international community, now and always, to the highest level.
