The Midway Islands Atoll is a must have for all twin turboprop pilots, helicopter pilots, or just sightseers alike. This airport is located at historic PMDY, which was a naval airfield in the 1940's for the Pacific war against Japan.
This scenery displays an updated version of the PMDY air field that is used for ETOPS Or Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards. The airport has a fictional army base on the "East Island" which is about 5 nm east of PMDY. This fictional army base displays a base being built. It has Humvees, cargo, parking for planes, three usable runways, and six parking spots. It also features a helicopter landing zone with three helipads, Strykers, and much much more.
While flying about the island, you will encounter ships and a naval armada fleet with a landable deck, and cruisers and destroyers to practice your naval helicopter operations.
