I CAN'T HEAR THE ENGINE SOUNDS IN FS2000

If you have the Pro version of FS2000, install the optional sounds found on CD
#3.
If you don't have the Pro, I have no other ideas for you.

I had this problem and was directed by an online MS Tech to re-install Audio
CODEC files (listed under Multimedia devices in Windows control panel) from
Win98 CD. This enabled missing sounds.

I CAN'T HEAR THE TOUCHDOWN SOUND AS IN FS98!

Update: Download configpb.zip from flightsim.com (where else?), it will fix this problem.

Name: configpb.zip Size: 654,746 Downloads: 1653
FS2000 Jet Sound Upgrade. Includes a modified .cfg file that adds the touchdown sounds
for the default Boeing 737, 777 and other 3rd party aircraft.
Also adds the wind sound that gets louder and louder once you go faster.
Includes some nice replacement sounds for replacing some default sounds.

I CANNOT SEEM TO GET THE RADIO TO WORK ON ANY FLIGHT!?

>Am I supposed to hear radio traffic or see text boxes.
>They are on the rightfrequency and switched on.

Only Comm 1 will work (with or without add-ons), and Comm 1 will only work
in FS2000 with ATIS. No ATC chatter is built-in. However, with programs like
Radar Contact 99, Squawk Box, etc., you'll get a lot of comms.
Comm 2 is for looks only at this time.
