Review: Aerosoft Cape Canaveral X
Cape Canaveral is one of the most famous spots on earth and offers plenty of man-made and natural scenery to view. Flying over it in real life might be problematic, but not for FSX users. Aerosoft's Cape Canaveral X is not exactly state of the art but does provide photoscenery that enhances the look of the area. Learn more by reading Andrew Herd's complete review here.

In this edition of his column, Chip Barber finds himself on the receiving end of the ten commandments for flightsimmers, which he in turn wishes to pass on to all his flightsim brothers and sisters. Read all about it starting here.

High (Simulated) Flight
Has there ever been a flightsim poem before? Well, there is now, written by Randy Link as a flightsim variant of John Gillespie Magee Jr.'s famous "High Flight". Read Randy's version here.

Review: It's Your Plane
It's Your Plane puts a virtual co-pilot in the cockpit with you, a highly skilled assistant who can actually handle the entire flight for you (handy for beginners) or can just do whatever tasks you request. While it does not work with every flightsim plane it works with plenty of them and can be used as a learning tool or a cockpit resource. Learn more by reading Larry Mudge's experiences with the utility here.

Interview: Just Flight's Alex Ford On F-Lite
Recently, FlightSim.Com had the opportunity to interview Just Flight's publishing director Alex Ford. Review: Golden Age Simulations Waco F Package
WACO was one of the most successful manufacturers of aviation's golden age. Though the original company went bankrupt in 1946, their popularity is such that since 1983 some models are again available and now, thanks to Golden Age Simulations, the planes are available to FS2004 and FSX pilots too. Biplanes are difficult to simulate but reviewer Andrew Herd found the WACO F to be one of the best. Learn more by reading his complete review here.

How To...Upgrade To FSX On A Budget
Steven Christensen, like many others, was not happy with FSX when he first installed it--it was just too slow. So he went on a mission to make it run right. In this article he explains how he did it. Learn more here.

Review: Just Flight 757 Professional
FS2004 pilots looking for a fully recreated, popular jetliner to fly would to well to consider the 757 Professional created by PSS and published by Just Flight. The Boeing 757 is a reasonably modern jet but not so automated that the pilot has little to do, and the 757 Professional gives flightsimmers a good chance of seeing what this popular plane is like. Learn more by reading Andrew Herd's complete review here.

Review: Aerosoft's Lukla For FS2004
Located in Nepal, Lukla is the world's second highest airport and at only 1500 feet in length quite a challenge to operate from! Aerosoft's scenery includes not only Lukla but several other nearby airports, plus Mount Everest and buildings and scenery for the region. It certainly makes for an exciting place to fly. Reviewer Kevin Glover offers his views of the scenery here.

How To...Pimp My 737 Panel
Author Mike McCarthy's shorest article ever! A brief demonstration of how to give your jet's mini panel a whole new look. Learn how here.

Looking For A Warhawk
Alejandro Hurtado presents the first article in a new series, "Looking For A..." where he seeks out and reviews freeware versions of planes that interest him, comparing the flightsim version to the real one. The first topic is the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, original design by Robert Hawk with FSX mods and textures by Mark Rooks. Learn all about it here.

Review: 737 Pilot In Command
Real world jetliners are rather complex to fly. Flightsim publishers have responded by issuing two kinds of sims, simplified aircraft that the average flightsimmer can jump into and pilot quickly and advanced sims that try to truly replicate the real aircraft. The "Pilot In Command" series is that latter type, and the latest FSX version of 737 Pilot In Command offers a well simulated version of one of the most popular jetliners around. Learn more by reading Andrew Herd's complete review here.

Novel Idea
In this case, "novel idea" is literally true--Ron Blehm discovers an old novel with an aviation theme and reads the book while flying along. It's a tale of adventure with heros and villains, with flying through Central and South America. Come along as Ron describes the flights here.

Review: Just Flight P-38 Lightning
The P-38 Lightning has a unique look to it that appeals to many people and after a period of development turned out to be one of the great planes of its era. Now thanks to Just Flight and Aeroplane Heaven, FSX and FS2004 pilots can try their hand at several varieties of this aircraft. Learn more by reading Andrew Herd's complete review here.
